Welcome to Jivdaya Committee

Our Mission

JAINA's Jivdaya committee's main goal is to save animals from the slaughter house, and to provide nutrition, water, and healthcare for animals staying in panjarapoles. The Jivdaya committee also helps to build new sheds and to maintain existing sheds of panjarapoles. Each year, the Jivdaya committee receives appeals from panjarapoles all across India.

The Jivdaya committee requests your support in taking care of these animals. The impact of even a small donation makes a big difference in the lives of these animals. Since August 2012, the Jivdayacommittee has distributed $17,200 to various panjarapoles, saved 30 animals from slaughter houses in India, and distributed $2000 in the USA. We are in the process of sending an additional $12,130 to various panjarapoles and to save 61 animals. Details of 2012-2013 donations are listed below.

To put it this in perspective, in India, the average cost of saving a cow from the slaughterhouse is $100.

To provide food, shelter, and medical care for a one cow for one year is only $180.

For $51one hundred animals can be fed for a day.

We are counting on your generous support for the purposes of Jivdaya. Donations made through JAINA are tax-deductible. Please contact any of the Jivdaya committee members (listed towards the end) if you have any questions.
